Count Hambula is a new counting game by Surillyacom Entertainment. Find out what types of numbers work best, look for higher valued number spells, and try not to struggle with the many screen chaos effects that want to throw you off-guard. Bring Count Hambula down in the fastest amount of time!

Sorry, but the game was too big for WebGL!

Shoot crates with numbers and operators, and create a number that's required for stronger spells, to hurt the number-obsessed Count Hambula!

This project was made during the GMTK 2026 game jam, following the theme "Count Down", with the goal to "bring down" a vampire, number obsessed count!

As long as there is no global leader board, you can post your time in the comments, if you like!

How to play?

  • In game, you have 3 spells on the side, asking for different kinds of numbers. E.g. "Prime above 20"
  • Now you pick up the revolver and shoot the crates that spawn with numbers and operators. E.g. 8 + 8 + 7 to create a 23 (prime above 20
  • Now you can cast the spell.
  • Harder spells do more damage!
  • You need to hit the count 9 damage!
  • Every ~10 seconds, the count will apply an ugly effect to your screen that will make it harder to concentrate and aim.
  • The count shoots little red pellets onto you that home for 1 second, and if they hit you, you will lose the last number / operator you got.

Linux warning: This build has been compiled on an NTFS system. If you download the .tar directly, and not via the itch app, you might need to fix the executable permission with this command: `sudo chmod +x coount.x86_64`

Available for 🐧, goofy aah webgl, the cooler looking linux and 🪟. Tested on Windows 11 and elementary OS 8.
